Is Contact lens safe for eyes?

Friends, I have a real bad vision and cant wear glasses all the time. I tried wearing contact lenses but everytime I put it in, it really hurts my eyes. Just wanted to know from the one's who wear lenses if it is good for eyes.

contacts are safe as long as follow the directions and wear the right ones. make sure that that you clean the lenes properly , wet them if they feel dry in your eyes
