How would you tell a friend or a co-worker that he's got a halitosis or bad breath without being offensive? HAs anyone encountered this at work or anywher? How did he/she react to it?

Never been on a situation like this before, thanks goodness. If the said person is your friend I think you should tell her/him frankly well of course in a nice way.Because if i would be the one having a bad breath i prefer hearing it from a friend than hearing it from somebody else.

You're right, it is quite difficult to be in this situation. Is it really hard to hurt a friend? Goodness, it needs courage to do so! Like what had Scroutz & Superwoobie mentioned, it wont make him/her happy at all.
