More and more, I have been seeing people making up discussions, that have no point to them. They just come up with something, that has nothing to do with anything. Or even the discussions that only have one word. This is absolutely disgusting, to see this type of behavior. Why would you cheat the system like that?

I totally agree with you missjackie,
Some ofthe questions posted are not even worth reading let alone answering. Having said that I have answered a few because at times its difficult to find anything else worth joing in. I have heard a lot of people say they have posted a good question and never had any replies, thepost seems to disappear into thin air.
I belive the best way to get rid of tese people is not tp let them waste your time and effort and ignore them. Thats going to be my New Year resolution Plus if I catch any of my friends doing it will delete them - I have only recently joined and have tended to collect friends for the sake of it but that will stop as well and I will probably end up as Billy No Mates.

I also give them a minus when I see these pointless discussions.

Well, you could just give me a minus and then go on with your day.

Because it's not participating. Why would you create a discussion with just one word? And how can you think that it's not cheating, by doing that?

If no one responds to the discussion my understanding of the system is that they do not receive credit for it, or if they do it is very little. As far as pointless discussions go, sometimes they can be fun if it is the right kind of pointless topic. I could argue that almost all discussions on this website are pointless since they are only people talking about things that in general yield no results in the real world.
