Paypal is okay but I would be careful about sites that aren't well known or who haven't established a good reputation. Credit cards can be good and bad. It all depends upon how you use them. They are good in an emergency or if you are travelling. Many internet stores accept credit cards and you must have a credit card to rent a car or a hotel room. However, if you abuse them and run them up they can be a nightmare. The money has to be paid back so it may take many years if you are not careful how you ise them.

I have been using paypal and I believe their transaction is secure. Visit http://www.paypal.com and check their FAQ for more details

they only ask for it so you can have a verified account. most sellers and buyers or people sending money ask for a verified account to send money to or get it from just to verify that you won't scam them in the end. if i send money to and unverified account, that person may jump before giving me the goods. paypal is safe to give the credit card info to though. i'd worry about lesser known sites no matter if it is a secured site (those with 'https' are secured) because the person running it may just get your cc info and charge it up. but as far as general security, paypal is secure and you can be sure of it by looking in the address bar -- when it shows the 's' after 'http', then it is a secure connection.

I wouldn't worry about giving your information to them... I've been using paypal for 5 years through ebay and have yet to have a problem with them! I usually have more problems with the buyers!

paypal is a worldwide trusted site and therefore i would say it is totally secure to give them your credit card details. if you dont trust it then dont use it but at the end of the day if you look at the top bar where the address goes it should be yellow instead of white and there will be a little padlock next to it telling you that the site is secure remember never to give anyone your paypal password though keep that secure otherwise you could be robbed through the net

Hi,
More than 70% site accepting paypal as a main payment processer, therefor you can trust them. I am using paypal for more than year and i have register 2 credit card on paypal and i have no problem. To get verified account you have to register a credit card, if u don't want verified status you can have paypal account without credit card and can accept payments.
