I am trying to dig up information on my family tree. Where should I start?

I found a few relatives on www.genesreunited.co.uk I believe the American one is www.genesreunited.com It costs around £7 per year to join up, I think it's well worth it. :)

Try Ancestry.com and also http://www.genesreunited.com/ Check your local Parish records, or whoever keeps records in your country.

Start from your children and go backwards for 300 years and you would have written history book. It will be just interesting. Please do it.

My aunts went to all the graveyards and records, but where they got the records I don't know and they live far away so I can't ask them. You could start with your grandmother's family bible..?
