Sorry! friend Gandhi never killed a man in his life. He is too 'ahimsa' man to be tolarated in those days.

Popular would be a poor choice of word for a man who over-ran and occupied more than half of Europe, turned Genocide into a unprecedented industrial nightmare and whose impact on the World will never be forgotten. Gandhi on the other hand was a really nice Guy, but he never really set the World alight did he?
We all have an affinity to look tor-wards our Dark-side even though we know it to be wrong and its this fascination that unfortunately keeps Hitler ahead of Gandhi in the media limelight,The only way to reverse this trend would be to darken Gandhi's character by letting his Halo slip. A bit drastic just to be more popular though!

bad people r more famous than the good for famous people.I explain u how,a man did a bank robbery ,and the next day itself his name appeared on the newspapers .so people can be famous either for a good deed or for a bad one .hitler was a bad guy and mahatma is a good man.

Hitler is popular because of more number of persons remembering him for genarations due to the loss suffered by him. Where as Gandhi popular because of nothing is done by him except making the word 'AHIMSA' popular by his sathyagrahas.

Adolf Hitler is more popular than Mahatma Gandhi because he had much more influance on world and history than Mahatma. Maybe if Mahatma started a World War III than he would be more popular :)

For a lot of reasons... for humans hating something comes easier than liking something. More people hated Hitler than the amount of people that liked Gandhi. It's not 'quite' as simple, but you get the idea.
People who do atrocious things usually get more attention that people who do good things... it's the same for things today as well... bad things that happen in the world are the stories that take centre stage and get the highest attention.
I prefer Gandhi ;)
