it is believed that girls are soft and delicate.they can't be exposed to tough situations..and when they are, they become victim in every way be it physical harassment or anything.
but time has undergone a sea change, can girls become an active part in defence army and can they stand neck to neck with their male counterpart??

Having served 8 years in the US Army, as a woman, I can tell you that despite the change, there is still much progress to be made. I frequently saw women who were allowing what a civilian would see as harassment to occurr on a daily basis. If they were to speak up, then it would not be uncommon to be flagged as someone to watch out for, as someone their male counterparts would have to "watch their back" when around.
I feel that women who enter this role should come prepared for a male dominated field, and if not able to accept "typical male behaviors" seek other options. I find it unrealistic to think that an environment where an army where the soldiers have to watch their words, can be a successful army.
As to standing neck to neck, I completely believe that there are women in the world who can, and perhaps even surpass the men of their field. It is only essential that the women attempting to "keep up" are in a field which truly fits their strengths and personalities.

I agree with what you are saying completly. Being an army wife I have saw this many times. It is still a male dominated field and most of the males look down or feel they have to take extra care of the women they are fighting with. I do believe that alot of women can on do a wonderful job in the field and sometimes better than the men.

I do feel that they can be a very active part in our countries army and many already have been or plan on doing so. There are a lot of women that are even tougher and stronger than some of us men. They should be commended for what they do for our country as well as the men.

I think that gender is not a basis for discrimination or rejection not only in the army, but anywhere in life. A woman is just as capable of defending the country as a man is. In Australia, I think there are certain limitations as to where a woman can be posted, however in my opinion, each officer should be given teh same treatment, and consideration, regardless of tehir gender. What do you think?

I think they are starting to integrate women into the United States Military. Not sure if they are eligible to be out on the actual batttlefield but I know there are women in the service and if they want to fight let them fight

I think that you also have to take into consideration of what happens to the rest of the unit if a woman was to die in combat. I have heard from a lot of American soliders that losing a woman in combat would be harder then losing a man. I think it's because they feel as though they need to protect the women more then the men. There's a lot more to combat then wanting to fight!

reading your question remain me of movie G.I Jane starred by demi moore. have you watched the movie? in my country more women join the force, especially as policewomen. i think i remember one or two women become general, not 4 star general. but its enough to tell you that women can be part of country's army

Hey,my frien,
I read your theory, but as peer me,Girls can be the main part of the Army,as the also have the capability to do something for the NAtion,so, no one can say what Girls can do and can do,it's up to them, wht they have to deciide about it.
