i don't really have a favorite, mainly because i'm not a huge fan of any of them. but the only one i use is AIM.

my favorite is yahoo messenger cuz i use it like 3-4 years but i use msn and aim to !!

well i prefer using gtalk...the other messengers have a kind o log in problem in our university..but gtalk works normally and the various functions of gtalk also make it unique and also from this you can send files with a very high speed as compared to other messengers....
