Writing my own life story...

Yes my friends,this is not a joke or lie.My life is full of experiences which is enough to write a book but I don't know how would I start or in which part I should start.I want to write this book to be dedicated to my loved ones and friends; for them to remember me.Please i need suggestions, advices or anything that could help.Thank you.

There's a good book called, "You Can Write a Memoir" by Susan Carol Hauser that is put out by Writer's Digest Books. It's an excellent resource to get you started. It leads you from childhood to adolescense to adulthood gracefully, yet systematically. I've been meaning to put this book to good use because I would also like to write my life's story. However, time keeps escaping me with each attempt I make. I notice this discussion is six months old, have you begun the writing process yet?

Thank you for the advice,but you see until this time I never started yet anything regarding this,I've been so busy all time,but this doesn't mean that i already forget it.If you don't mind if you had started yours can you share me some of the part of your story?Thanks!

I have started mine, but it's been in notebooks and journals. I haven't taken the time to type anything out yet because I have difficulty taking this project seriously - this is mostly because the people around me don't take what I do very seriously. Know what I mean? I promise, though, that as I do progress and get it typed that I'll have discussions posted about the process and things like that.

Wonderful! I think everyone should write his story. There are probably many ways to go about it. One way I like is to write whatever you think of, whenever it comes into your head. After a while you will have a series of vignettes that you can put in sequence and then fill in the blanks. I think that is a good way to get started.
