Surprised, just read a report that cattles yielded 18% of global CO2 emmission! How could that be? Any more inputs?

And You will be surprised to know that an AUSTRIAN FIRM,has completed the study saying that GLOBAL WARMING is more dangerous to mankin than the TERRORISM,its was been published in the DAWN NEWSPAPER(WWW.DAWN.COM) ,i was surprised and i fear if the consequences depicted in the movie "THE DAY AFTER TOMMORROW" may not come true

terrorism is nothing but like flies, and global warming could flood flies too.

But it still a small part of the total amount. The main factor of greenhouse gas is the main industry country.

18% of the total is quite a lot actually. Eating meat does more harm than driving your car.

It may look weird that cattle causes 18% of global warming, since direct CO2 emissions from cattle are not significant. But cattle is responsible for large emissions of some greenhouse gases that are much more "warming" than CO2: - methane emissions from their digestive process; methane has a global warming potential (GWP) of 23 (it's 23 times more warming than CO2). - nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from manure decomposition; nitrous oxide has a global warming potential of 310, i.e. is 310 times more warming than CO2.
