I work in customer service, in inbound collections. It's not really what I want to do (& after 2 years I'm starting to HATE MY JOB) but it pays well & I've got pretty good benefits.
Ideally, I want to either be a court reporter, paralegal or work for the National Captioning Institute, or have my own home-based business. I am a great typist (70 WPM), and I have good people skills and I'd love to travel, my sister in law told me that if you are a court reporter, you can go to different law offices and type depositions, so you're not stuck in the same law office all day long - that's what I want to do!!!

I did collections as well in my past sp I hear ya there. I had been working on medical transcription up to awhile back which is the medical version of course to the paralegal position....sounds like a great plan and you could probably train and keep your other job until your are done!! cool! I started in medical lab years ago and did a short stretch in loss control and security, got my private police officer certification and was going to pursue a career in law enforcement but I always seem to end up back in medical field so now I'm trying to do a bit of both...good luck to you!

I'm actually in college pursuin a B.A. in Paralegal studies. I plan to work in a probation office, juvenile probation actually. But.. I"ve changed majors twice since I've been in school so who knows how long I'll stick with this plan ;)
