Do you send a reply or thank you ecard when you get one?

I am not sure what the proper etiquette is for this, but I really do not have the time or desire to search around a site for a thank you card and then it just goes back and forth between the cards and makes it seem less personal.
What do you do when you get an ecard from an online friend or coworker? This is not the same thing as one for a lover/spouse or one you flirt with - that is fun when you are in a relationship?
But the one you get for Mothers Day, Christmas, Birthday and then the card site has a section at the bottom where it tells you that there is an option to send one back as a thank you - do you do that?
I tend not to.

You know I was thinking the same thing. I sent out a whole bunch of egreetings from 123greetings.com to all my closes friends and relatives and not one has replied thanking me for the card or anything. I think they should at least acknowledge.

my e-mail box only receives mails. I almost never send an e-mail, I just read the many I get, laught at the joke and send them to the "recycle bin". I prefeer to thank the person "face to face" than sending a reply-email. they are too impersonal.

I normally send a reply card or a Thank you Card when I get e-cards from my friends on Birthdays, New Year and few festive ocasions like Dussera, Deepavali, Sankranthi, Holy and Independence Day

I usually will send a thank you card when I receive an ecard. They only come from close friends and family and I figure the least I can do is take the time to reply.

I do not have the custom to make cards for friends, therefore I think that he is very better to say everything personally what he is felt. Therefore always when it is one day special, I say something special for somebody in special.

I do not usually reply with an ecard but I do send an email which is a lot quicker and just a personal because when I receive a card or gift from some one unless it is like a wedding or baby shower I just write on a nice sheet of stationary a quick little thank you note. But I always reply somehow.

It is curious that you should open a discussion on this subject because I received an ecard yesterday, which is probably the first one for the past year.
I have never responded with reciprocal ecards, and if a reply is justified then I would usually send an email.
I am unsure as to whether the ecard site itself would request my email address, and of course we all get too much spam as it is. A direct email is the standard communication for me.

Normally we used to thank a freind or any one who gift us right? the same happens with the e-card...
I usually thank my freinds or even my parents if they send an e-card!!!! moreover,In all the e-cards i received,it had an option that send thanks e-card to the one who sent that to me...! so i dont have to spend more time on it...

Not necessarily unless the one sending us is a very close friend or a relative...But the etiquette says that you must at least thank or reply to the sender..but usually people don't care unless the greetings are from close ones...
