What is the fastest way to master a snow valley? By skiing or by snowboarding?

I've been told snowboarding is alot easier to learn. I've done it a few times and I can get down the hill no problem where as I've been skiing for about 38 years and I'm still learning. Skiing is alot more technical than snowboarding. You can be a pretty good snowboarder in one season. It definetly takes more than one season to be a good skier.

i think skiing is alot easier than snowboarding. the way you move and turn on a snowboard is kinda awkward compared to skiing in my opinion. ive been skiing 5 seasons and do double black diamonds and hit big jumps in the terrain parks. (not trying to brag or anything). I'd try skiing.

It's a matter of what you are the most comfortable in. You can be good at either or both.

i think it's snowboarding. snowboarding is more actual and it's really modern.so everybody thinks that snowboarding is "cooler" than skying. so in my opinion the best way to master a snow valley is to do trick on snowboards:P

Snowboarding is probably the fastest way to master a mountain. But mastering skiing will provide much more satisfaction (combined with frustration) in the long run.
