I'm looking to purchase a cheap internet service for my laptop (In the way of dial up).. Is there a certain one someone would recommend? I just want access for when I travel to my dads a few times per year. High Speed is out of the question, as he lives out in the boonies and is limited to dialup at this point.
Suggestions? Recommendations?

For travel I suggest you to use GPRS connection from your local GSM opreator. Maybe It can be slow but can be like high speed connection if GSM operator at your country using 3G technology. You can use unlimited package if it's available. Now I use GPRS connection with unlimited bandwith. Another alternative you can use high speed access of CDMA sevices. It's speed similiar to ADSL connection. CDMA internet connection speed is like wireless broadband connection. You can use unlimited package. So, you can download as much as you want or browsing as long as you want. For the hardware you only need GPRS PCMCIA or CDMA PCMCIA. CDMA PCMCIA prize is cheaper than GPRS PCMCIA. If your laptop doesn;t have PCMCIA slot you can use GPRS MODEM or CDMA MODEM.
