You did not tell us why you are your own hero. That might generate more responses. I have a friend that I call my hero. She achieves quite a bit, in spite of some disabling conditions. She has three college degrees, raised four children on her own. Was a foster parent, and also adopted an at risk child. She does volunteer work, and the list goes on. But she always tells me how good I am and how much she admires me.

Well I believe if as an individual we can't look up to ourselves and have a strong sense of faith on who we are; then what is the logic in looking up to other people as heroes? I mean in the end it is always going to be you; you have to get by on your own two feet, right? I do look at people as role models and i am very thankful for there advice and what not, but in the end I am very proud of who i am and that is why I consider myself my hero for personal reasons and everything else above.

I have to heros but both are gone now, my Grandfather who gave is young life in the first world war and my father who fought in the second world war and worked ever so hard to me the best life a person could wish to ask for. My heroes, I love them.

My hero is Christ because I feel that heroes are people who save other people.
