Your favorites from television? Why?

This is a multi-faceted topic because I want to know not only what your favorite shows are, I also want to know what your favorite channels/stations are, your favorite type of shows (reality, sitcoms, talk, etc.) Also, what is your least favorite in the above categories. Also, tell me why you like or dislike them.

Well, I guess my favorite shows are mainly on the premium channels... Here they are not necessarily in this order: Weeds, Entourage, Curb your enthusiasm, family guy, simpsons, and lately Rob and Big... As for television stations, I'd probably have to go with ESPN, because I always watch sportscenter to catch up on the days events!

It sounds like you've got some pretty good tastes in show and also that you have a pretty good sense of humor. I know that with Curb Your Enthusiasm you either love it or you hate it. As for Family Guy and The Simpsons, I generally watch these two shows in reruns on DVD, though I do occasionally catch new episodes when I'm not working.

You know, the invention of the DVR has changed my TV viewing habits. Now, I rarely watch shows when they are on! I seem to get through more shows without the commercials!

My favorite tv channel is vh1,cartoon network and discovery channel......as vh1 gives me loads of entertainment for music and tom and jerry in cartoon network is my all time favorite and about discovery channel lot to say about it as it provides the best information about the different life of creatures and lots more..........

I noticed that I didn't offer my own responses above. My favorite shows are Dirty Jobs and Mythbusters. I think both of these are on Discovery Channel. I just love television when you can learn new things. It makes the whole experience of sitting in front of a television seem less wasteful. Anyway, thanks for your response.

Well I love to watch TNT because it has many shows on it I like. Law and Order, Charmed, Judging Amy, Without a Trace for example. I love shows that deal with the supernatural along with ones that deal with sci-fi and fantasy. I love law shows as well. I love to watch CSI, espeically the original and Miami. The New York one not as much. I also like Shark, which is a show that comes on after CSI. So I do watch Spike and A&E both of which show reruns of CSI. For my sci-fi shows I watch Sci-Fi Network for things like Battlestar Galactica, Stargat SG1, Stargate Atlantis, Dr. Who :)
I don't like Reality TV Shows at all. They are more of a popularity contest then anything else. Sitcoms I like some but so many are half hour ones and I don't like what's on before or after so I forget they are on.

i am a huge reality tv junkie and watch almost anything that classifies as a reality show. i least like talk shows (unless it's oprah).
of course, nothing is going to ever be better than the friends series :)
