More and more media men(women) are being killed all over the globe just for publishing facts. Don't you think this is too much already? Just because you speak the truth, you're going to be "silenced" by certain unscrupulous people!
I'm no activist but I just want to air my support regarding this: STOP the killing of innocent mediamen!!
Help support. One voice is not enough.

Its terrible to see this happening in Russia and parts of the Middle East too. I have never heard of it, it doesn't happen in America. silencing political dissenters isn't free speech and its a key trademark of a dictatorship.

i agree that the killing of media men should be stopped now. i'm from the philippines and just last year, our country was declared the most dangerous place for journalists. it's even more dangerous than iraq right now. and to think i'm a journalism student even. i'm having second thoughts about which career path i'm going to take because i wouldn't want to end up like one of the murdered journalists in their line of duty. most killed journalists are murdered in so-called democratic countries like the philippines. the government even says that we uphold the right to free expression of opinion and press freedom. but with so many journalists getting killed, where now is this freedom? on the other hand, most of these journalists who are killed didn't have any formal training in the field. i think another of the reasons why they got killed was because they weren't even trying to practice responsible journalism at all. that's one of the problems in the media industry today. most media men are just concerned with sensationalizing and dramatizing news just to get high ratings and earn big sums of money. this malpractice in the industry is the reason why certain unscrupulous people get mad at them and wish to get rid of them. but i still don't think that's enough reason to murder them.

Thank you for your support. I guess for some media men it got out of hand. Some probably, would have gone too far without considering the journalism ethics. Thanks for the well thought response.
