surprise reaction from my 1-day old ,new born baby

i got a baby boy 3 months back. he was born in the evening at 5:30. at night he suddenly started to cry and we all did not know wat was the reason. we tried feeding him, holding him , and few other things and nothing worked. then i asked mom to out him near me and i slowly started talking to him ,( i was half conscious as they had put me sleeping injections) suddenly he stopped crying and jus listened to me. when i stopped he started to cry and when again i talked to him he stopped crying..it was really a surprise to all of us..that too from a jus born baby . i really then believed that babies can defenitely hear when they in the womb...
