With the emergence and a substantial popularity of DVD's the CD's have, for now , atleast gone into oblivion. What are your views upon it are CD'd here to stay or DVD's going to put CD'd in history?

Yes I believe the CDs are nearing extinction since people want higher storage capacity discs and media. Cds only have 650-800MB of memory compared to 4.7GBs for DVDs. It will save a lot of money buying one DVD for burning files or music instead of multiple CDs. I also believe that the DVD's lifespan will not take long because of the flash disks and IBM is now developing a new kind of flash disk that will beat the current ones in the market.
