I prefer to work smart. Working smart means working efficiently with the least stress possible. Working hard is just well, working hard! I know a lot of people who have worked hard for the past years but are still in the same position they are since they started. I know only of a few people who didn't work that hard but worked smart and got the job done faster, more efficiently than the ones who worked hard. Working smart keeps your mind open to possibilities of accomplishing different tasks while just working hard will keep you focused on one certain goal, that's all.

i believe in both because smart work saves time but sometimes hardwork get more importance and i think hardwork always important because if you don't do hardwork you can't do smart work so hardwork is very important if you want to do smart work..did you understand what i mean, if no let me explain.
Suppose x and y are programmers in same company, they got a project separately, y did work but he did not workhard so his application is very simple and puzzled , while x is hardworker he completed his project with a lot of workhard than his application has great look and feel so his application is smart....
in simple words i can say that hardwork always done behind every smartwork....
