Windows Vista last major Windows release?

I've read in some newspapers that Gartner Inc. predicts that Vista would be last major release of Windows. my question: Why? Why, this could be this the last major release? Thanks in advance.

No I don't think that Windows Vista will be the last major Windows release. I think that in the future there will be other important releases of new versions of Windows.
