Chain letters...how low would you sink?

Chain emails...
They're just a bit of fun, right?
But what about the ones that say things like 'I'm a 10 year old girl dying of cancer, send this on or you don't have a heart'?
I mean, most of the civilised world would understand that this sort of thing is fake, but why is man-kind sinking to such levels for a sense of entertainment?
Why are people becoming more cold as time goes on, and why do you think it is that people spend their time and energy making these sick things?
As I said before, this isn't attacking those innocent chain emails that, I was just wondering if anyone could explain to me why people would write these kind of things?

For the attention, some people just dont think 2x about what they are doing. There are some crazy topics on here that dont make any sense and they are the ones that get the most respones.

Yeah, I know what you mean, it's almost as though we're fuelling these people, and while I would never pass things like this on, I know people that actually BELIEVE in them, and therefore do.

I get really annoyed by such kind of emails i delete them as soon as i read the subject. It's just a perfect example of how unhuman a person can be. And it also explains that man is definitely the top ranked animal who wastes his time!

I completely agree, I think these people are just so SICK...
And then there's the threatening email, which states that you'll get murdered if you don't answer them...
Just makes you wonder how far people will go for attention...

Most of chain e-mails are fake. Generally I have seen having subject on God, diesese etc are fake. The people wants to misguide the mass. We should not take part on such mail, just avoid it, it will automatically brake up. Few chain e-mails earns money also. There are many sympathetic people, who responde such mail. They come under impression of such chain mail. Ill-minded people writes such e-mails, they are mentally disturb in some way or other way.
