I was born in macedonia (bitola) left it (i mean Macedonia) when I was 15 to come to Australia. Went there in 2000 (just before the war) then on 31.12.2001 just after the war. Met a nice guy then went back in 2002 and got merried I had my son there and came back to Australia at the end of 2003. As a macedonian I love it there (set aside all the politics and lots of things that have to change) but people are sooooooooooo diferent they make do with what they have they are happy with friends and neighbours and family around them 24/7. If I went out say to korzo or whatever I would have to stop every 10m to say hi to someone. even with all that unemployment and all those issues with health sistem, education, social issues everyone has a smile on their face. And boy do they know how to dress. If I neeed to pick up a milk in australia I can do it in my pj's but oh no over there you have to be fully dressed up in appropiate clothes and with your full make up just in case someone saw you. I could go on and on and on but I better not. Im I had the means I would go live there toomorow but for now I would go visit them when I can and live on the memories.
