i think bbc have some good reason as evidance. i have read "jesus lived in india", that book give some story about jesus that similar with story about buddha. such as, jesus and petrus walking in water same like buddha and sariputta walking in water. or story like "the prodigal son", or "lost sheep" or jesus asking water from samaritan woman similar with ananda asking water from lower caste woman.

Ah, yes. . .I love discussions on religion.. .people can get funny about it. . . I don't know whether I believe this or not. But there is something to be said about the manner and style in which Jesus taught. Unless one believes that Jesus Christ had infused knowledge, he had to learn his teaching/preaching style from somewhere. . . I am Catholic and have studied theology formally at the seminary. I have also studied world religious at a local college, as well as reading a lot on my own. One thing I have learned is that the more you know about other faith traditions the more you value your own. But even more, you'll find that there are more similarities in the different faith traditions that you ever thought possible. Nearly all faiths teach a belief in God, although called by different names/titles. Nearly all faiths teach to be good to neighbor. And when it's your time, you go home. . .to heaven (or whatever the religion calls it). Nearly all faiths have a story about how things came to be. Although completely different, we can see similar metaphors in the infancy narratives detaling the birth of Christ and the story of Buddha's enlightment. Now don't blast me and tell me that I'm saying Jesus's birth is a metaphor because I hold HIM as my Savior and Lord. What I am saying is that stories are told in a particular context and in a particular fashion to reach and teach a particular group of people. And sometimes the use of metaphors helps. . . Example: The Lamb of God was born in a Stable. Magi sought the Prince of Peace. The Bread of Life was placed in an animal's manger. The Shepherds sought the Good Shepherd. The Star shone brightly over the Light of the World. I don't know if I believe that Jesus studied Buddhism at this point. But whether he did or not doesn't shake my faith.

No I don't believe that Jesus studied Buddhism. But I do some similiarities between his teachings and those of the Buddha. I just see it as evidence that there is more Truth to it than what is preached by the Church and other Christian religions and that there's more Truth to the Budhhist teachings as well. I am open to both variations on the Truth. Personally, I feel that we can never truly know God. It is true that what has been handed down over time has been inspired by God, but it was still filtered through humanity and by the people that wrote it. Like everything that is written, the intangible becomes tangible, the abstract thoughts formed into words that might be able to convey the true message. But just as likely they may not. I feel that is why there are so many religions in the world. I think this is a good thing. It's helpful to discuss and debate topics like this, because I feel that we may then find a closer to connection to the Truth that is God.
