No. I think that certain things they maybe able to be trained to do (ours will only use the bathroom on grass as she was trained when she was a baby) but only if they are trained when they are supper small. But I also think it depends on the individual dog. Because I know some Huskys that are really smart.

Our dog isn't very smart...but she's very lovable and sweet. I kept hoping she'd calm down once she got older but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Your dog can be trained! However, it depends how old it is, and if you have a local trainer that can help you. After a certain point, you really need professional help in training an animal. Also, huskies are a breed that tend to be stubbern...you have to show them who is boss in a firm, but non-abusive way. Read online about the breed. However, keep in mind, a dog will always have it's own mind. Good Luck!!!

they can be trained. maybe the reason why he doesnt listen to you is because you're too soft on him. you should let him know that you're the boss and he should do the things you tell him. you can't be nice to him all the time coz there will come a time he'd take it to his advantage. try to be stern with your words. show him that you're the boss, not him.

i don t konw very much about husky, but i had a labrador, and he was acting the same like your dog. he was very stuborn and listenig just to my mom. maybe someone who is well trained could try to work with your dog. probably with lots of nice talking and revards he will start to listen to your orders.

Bring up your Husky in a firm and consistent fashion, make sure it is very well socialised and you will have a dog that looks like your dream dog and is well behaved. Don't fall into the trap of keeping a husky outdoors - isolation makes them very difficult. They are very social dogs and are best brought up as part of the family.Running off - neuter him to reduce this trait - make sure your dog is sure that you are the boss and he won't take off because he respects your leadership and waits for you to make the moves. Train him from an early age using a reward method to keep the dog motivated and focused on you. Then other things are not so interesting when you go out and he will respond. The fact that you already have an older - well behaved dog - will help you in this regard. Keep the more dominant dog under control.
