Is everyone's family so messed up?

Has this happened to any of you out there? My father had an affair while married to my mom, she demanded he stop it and he did. Ok, but a few years later she died and his girlfriend/ho came to my moms funeral! WTF. They started dating again (if they ever had really stopped dating) a week or two after the funeral. Now I had to look across the table at her at Christmas dinner and act polite all day. I would have disliked her anyway, but her going to my mothers funeral has caused such a disgust and anger in me I can't bear it. Is every family such a mess?
