Hi guys, I would like to know what you think of people who live on a full time basis in a motorhome. My husband and I have owned many large properties in many European countries, but lately I have become tired of removals, maintenance, lag of freedom... so we decided to buy a motorhome untill we could find a new property to buy... but we got so used to it that we recently decided to stay like this for a while... 3 years ago!!! I personally use to think that people living this kind of life could not be serious, that they were unstable, and... maybe even untrustwearthy... Of course my opinion has changed, but I would like to know what is the big world out there thinking of it. Thanks for your answers.

The way motor homes are made nowdays it isn't all that different from living in a house set on property. If you don't mind the smallness and can get a place to have some privacy once in awhile then why not. Not any different then people who live on house boats.

You are right Craftwave, living in an RV is very comfortable. Concerning the space, it is weird. We only use to have large properties. The last one was in France with 1,5 hectares and 400 m2 of house, the previous in Spain with 3000 m2 and 380m2 of luxury house with 5 suites... So of course, a bare 14 m2 on wheels, on top of it with 4 cats and 2 large dogs... difficult. My family thought we had gone mad and would never managed. Well the family has shronked to 2 cats and 1 Rottweiler, and the home enlarged to 20m2.....!!!! Fantastic, no? Well, in fact, we are outdoor a lot, walking the dog, doing outdoor chores, doing some mechanic or technical stuff (I love it), and finally, we are facing the biggest garden...: the World.

So true. I love to camp in tents and we had a camper trailer for awhile. I love the outdoors and when we would go comaping we did a tremendous amount of stuff out doors. Can't buy a better living room then that.
