Is anyone on this group a full time RVer? My husband and I plan to become full time RVers in the next few years. I have joined several yahoo groups to learn more but just wondered what you all thought about the idea.

I appreciate your concerns but my husband and I have lived in an RV several years ago. And, although it was in a RV park full time we realize the space and storage problems associated with it. As far as a 'home base' etc. is concerned we have two options--either a part time park or staying at my brothers place as he has a hookup we can use full time if needed where a mobile home used to be parked.
We are really looking forward to being able to do things we have wanted to do for years. Yes, budget will be tight but we have some options available to increase that income and we are working now to pay off bills, reduce expenses and storage needs.
Thanks for your input.

Before selling up everything I would suggest that if possible you try it for a few months, because for some people it is great but for others not so good. We have been retired and nomadic for almost 10 years now but we do have a base to return to from time to time.
Firstly start at least 6 months before you plan to set off by cutting back. By that I mean, learn to cook and live with less saucepans, pots etc and make sure that the ones you do use can be used for multi functions. Reduce the amount of space you take up, clothing must be functional as well as mix and match.
If you are planning to spend some time outside of caravan or trailer parks, then make sure you have something to cook with and on, i.e. gas. Learn now to stick to a budget as this is one of the most important functions you will need to know.
Good luck to you and contact me if you want any more information and although I am in Australia, there many things which are common irrespective of where we live.
