According to the family tree, our ancestors came down from Central Asia some 600 years ago and they were known as Aryans. We have perfect records for last 400 years, according to which they landed in Mangalore, a coastal area and settled there as farmers.

We ,in my family I guess are mutts so to speak. We come from Ireland ,Scotland,Germany,Hungary, and then theres the side of the Native Americans, we have Cherokee,Creek, and saponi, and Apache. And believe when you hear the Apache was hard people, ill natured at times. My great ,great grandma was one and my mom can still hear her shouting about the lazy white eyes she was cursed with as grandkids.Cause if she found one speck of dirt in her home she went nuts. But she was a great midwife who delivered many of the elder people around here.

Mostly Scottish and Irish, with a little English and French thrown in. The origins of my Mother's surname SPOWART is still a mystery, springing up in Central Scotland in the 1600s. Our theory is it's derived from a Germanic surname - it first appears in port towns, so maybe a sailor settling down.

On my father's side, they are from Ireland and Scotland. My grandfather was born in Scotland. So, I am only second generation American.
On my mother's side, it is English.
Gee, maybe this is why I always feel at odds with myself!!! I feel closer to my Scottish roots. I feel more at home in Scotland than I do in America.

I am a true Heinze 57. I have German, Italian, French, English, Scotish, Polish, Creek Indian, Blackfoot Indian and the list goes on. That's okay though it makes for good hair and skin tones. LOL Well, now I dye the hair to cover the gray until it all turns gray together.

Most of mine come from Ireland. Of course before Ireland they came from England so we also have a bit of Scottish blood in us. Now my father's side has some Dutch in it as well but he's mainly Irish decent. So we are something like 80% Irish and the rest is Dutch, English, and Scottish.

I'm a real mixture of nationalities and I love them all! I'm English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh, German, Dutch, French and Danish. On top of all that, my children also have Swedish. Makes for quite the mix but I wouldn't have it any other way. My husband on the other hand is half German and half English with a sprinkling of Swede.

My parents were native Germans (as am I - didn't immigrate to the United States until the '70s), and their parents had Irish and English heritage. So I'm 1/2 German, 1/4 Irish, 1/4 English I suppose.

Native Filipino(which probably originated from Africa) and Spanish.
