Should Saddam be hanged?

I was in Kuwait during the Gulf War. Suddenly one fine morning our lives were turned upside down. From a luxurious life I went to being a refugee. Even though I had a lot of bad experiences then and should be very angry with what this man did to many lives like mine (and worse for some others), I keep thinking what's the point of killing him. Are those families going to get back the relatives that they lost...Can I get back my old life? I really see no point and am not bothered if he is hanged or not. I've got on with my life and so have most others. I also understand that some people need revenge for the loved ones that they have lost. They have a right to feel the way they do.
