Some say that it is a right to vote and those who don't take advantage of that right should lose that right. I disagree. I think it is a right to vote and a right NOT to vote. What do you think?

voting is a responsibility. Every citizen should exercise their right to vote. Without full participation, is the country really being ruled by the majority?? If you don't vote you have lost the right to complain about taxes, our leaders, laws that you disagree with. If you don't participate, you are at the mercy of those who do.

I vote every year. I read up and watch debates(sometimes on the debates) My husband does not. The way I see it we are a free country and it is your right and priviledge to vote. If you don't vote then don't complain about who or what gets into office or what bills do or do not pass and so on and so forth....You didn't vote then don't belly ache about nothin

I don't think it should be a RIGHT to vote, voting just for the sake of voting is disturbing.... you shouldn't be able to drive a car with a blindfold on, just so our nation shouldn't be run on the whims of a bunch of voters who probably couldnt even pick out the pictures or ideals of the canditates they voted for on a multiple choice test.
