I am a 24 year old christian man, and i have always been told by friends, family and others that being a man you should have a wife before your 30. I have a successful company and a loving girlfriend that i have been with for over 3 years. However, i have spoken to her about my thoughts on marriage, and understands that i would like to enjoy my life until i reach the age 40 before i decide to get married. She is very comfortable and understanding about the situation and i was wondering if me feeling this way is normal?

If you're a Christian male, and you're living a pure life, and you can make it until you're 40, then by all means, go ahead and do it. The older your girlfriend is, the less possibility she can have children as easily if you want them. But ultimately, the decision is left up to you as the man. There are no real rules about this kind of thing and ultimately, it's all in the Lord's hands anyway.
