How do you choose a good friend?

Well many people dont agree with my point of view but it is true that most of the people choose there friends by their looks and most choose there friends who are intelligent then them . Well in case o a girlfriend 100 out of 100 choose there girlfriend on the basis of there looks or the facial beauty. But after some time there friendship broke down like they have never been a freind. I think when you choose a riend dont go on the facial beauty of your would be friend and in that way you will make a friendship that will last evan after you passes away to hell, LOL , I mean to say that your friendship will become imortal. Thats my thinking so what do you think.
