Can Danish passport holder live and work in the UK?

I'm a Danish passport holder.I lived 20 years in USA but I never left my Danish passport.It is going to expire in 2015.I want to ask that,as I am in Pakistan right now,can I still live and work in the UK withou "Work Permit"and other documentations? I am afraid if the authorities at the airport in UK would not let me live and work.Do you think I mighg be able to live and work there,freely?

donno much by the way what do u do here in Pakistan?
if Denmark is a member of the EU maybe only then they'll allow otherwise u havee to get a visa
besides i wanna know how did u find Pak n what brought u here werent u cared of coming here as most ppl think of it in the west
