I have many friends from Nigeria and only a few are willing to admit the amount of corruption that is present in the region. I think that there are many similarities between America and countries such as Africa in terms of corruption- Americans have learned how to hide behind "legal" loopholes. They have learned how to clean up their messes and keep them quiet. When you look closely you can see the corruption. And the higher you move in society the more apparent it becomes.

corruption is everywhere but it seems the western world have a way of managing it. Americans migth be corrupt but not to the extent of poverty.the only thing i see in america is the issue of world politics. and that is bad

Yes curruption is everywhere but it more evident and pronuced in africa and in some parts of Asia than any other continents of the world. Africans just have to discipline their appetite for premitive accumulation of wealth at the expence of the public treasury.

i have always thought of africa and asia of places with great potential.till now they were vastly exploited by the western countries and by whimsical dictators, but now gradually all the nations are slowly evolving in to a force by helping each other out.not only is it a rich source of natural resources but the people are also catching up to global standards be it in technology agriculture, exports, slowly and steadily africa is rising .

Africa is whiteman's folly. It is a big continent with very many countries but none united it .It became an ideal ground for the europeans who divide and rule the earth. At least now the african nations should unite and form a united africa with independent governments but work for the progress under acommon code.
A lot of ground work needs to be done. Corruption is a devil which eats up all good things. So Honest leaders have to be found to lea the nations. communism should be kept out strictly because communist leaders enjoy all benefits leaving the workers to suffer. India is now suffering with communism which has become a drag stone in its march for progress. The communist leaders have become rich at the expence of labour unions.

Corruption is as a result of poverty. Pover if well managed we definitely go round. Crruption in africa is just like a viscious circle of poverty. poverty leads to curruption which inturn leads to bad leadership and then back to poverty. Bad leadership tries to manage and perpetuate poverty. thus the poverty goes round and round. When poor masse team together to sponsor a leader, the sponsore leader is given a mandate to is givemn the mandate to loot the public treasury to pay the sponsors. hence, he become a bad leaders by looying and curruption. I think African youth have to beging from being honest and being contented with little. He that si faithful with little will know how to behave when he heads much.

I too feel bad for the condition of the africans. But if hey want to live a well setteled life they wud have to take education seriously. Education is a thing which cant be sold. It is brought with hard work and dedication. For this the government should take extreme measures to set up educationational centres

Well after 5000 years and counting and still living like it was the dark ages, i dont see Africa moving ahead any time soon they are just taking steps backwards. Its like a free for all on living and wondring why theres a new leader everyday then I guess its moving foward.
