My kids are 15 and 5, and they each got 4-wheelers (in appropriate sizes, with safety equipment) for Christmas. Each one has a governer so we can decide how fast they are allowed to go, and are equipped with a remote shut-off switch that either myself or my husband can use if needed. Also, they each have a lanyard attached to them so that if they fall off, it comes out and the vehicle shuts off automatically. Of course, they also have helmets, gloves, etc.
We took them out to a large, open field yesterday to practice. They did GREAT! I'm so proud of them. So here's my question... do you think 4 wheelers for 2 girls is a good idea or bad idea? I think it will teach them self-esteem, and should help them see past the boy-game/girl-game boundries and they should know that just because they're girls doesn't mean they can't go out and do what they want. There are so many lessons to be learned... and they're having fun! What do you think?

Hi there! I think they are great for girls, as well as boys. One of the best things we've found about riding and racing ATVs is that it's a family thing _ something the entire family can do together. How often do you see kids and teenagers spending weekends together with their parents and grandparents, and ENJOYING IT?! We do, thanks to riding!
