Checking on comments made on your responses.

How many of you here check back to see what the poster had to say about your response. For example, sometimes when I get a good response but it raises questions I will ask the responder to clarify. However, 90% of the time they never come back. I always go back several times over my discussions just to make sure that I haven't missed a comment made on my comment. It's time consuming but I want to be thorough. I have seen so many discussions where the poster does not make one single response. If they are not interested in what we have to so why waste time and space.

I always check my responses the best I can. I have been having a problem with discussions I have started. They are saying that i have 6 or 7 responses but I can't see any of them to reply. It shows my tags at the bottom and that is all. Is anyone else having this problem?

It has happened to me once in a while but fortunately not often...sometimes if I hit back and then forward it will show up...if not I'll take the next one and come back. The fact that you check them is encouraging to those who want to respond. Thanks for dropping in and for your input.

Yes, normally the glich is only temporary. However, I have also noticed that there are fewer duplications being made. MyLot seems to have solved that problem quite nicely. Thanks again for dropping by.

i had this problem, i am not sure why, but i think it might have been because someone didnt enter the tags for the discussion. but after a few days someone else responded to it and then everything was back to normal

Fortunately, or unfortunately as the case may be, I haven't been swamped on any of my discussions. Some of them, however, have taken a great deal of time because I like to type and write and sound off...but that's my problem. I have lately made it a point not to comment on those responses that have nothing to do with the topic or Yes or No, or I don't know. I used to but not any more because many of them are gone and forgotten and don't come back so what's the use. Thank you for dropping by.

I don't have to check if you say you check all your comments. I am a trusting person and believe what most people tell me. Thank you for dropping by and for your input.

Maybe you should try topics that generate discussions. Some that can make people react either in favor or against. Thanks for dropping by.

It is difficult to pick a good discussion that will give good responses. I try to choose some thing that is eventful, meaningful and has two sides from which to choose. It isn't always that easy. I check all responses on a discussion that interests me to see what others have said before. Each discussion and its comments will give me some insight as to which may or may not make a good spinoff for another discussion. With time and patience it gets a little easier. I still have a couple of discussions that no one has responded to but what the heck...I can't have everything. Thanks for dropping by. PS: when adding a comment on the discussion itself be sure to go back to the discussion box to add your comment. This way you have a better chance of received a Best Response. You get a point either way, however.

I always do my best to keep up on checking back where i have responded, with my friends topics, and with my own topics. There gets to be to much at times and it is very hard to keep up with. Be patient, they are probably just bogged down with a million other things. I am sure they will get back to you.

Some of them were on my friends list....I say were because I have deleted them. I realize that some have a zillion responses to answer but most of these posts are one or two word answers and that's not too difficult to wade through. However, if someone posts a serious discussion where both sides will be attacked or defended then normally the answers are fewer but more intelligent and interesting. Thanking you for dropping by and for your input.

Well i do the same it isn't that i comment or discuss things just for the sake of posting When you start a discussion you should make it healthy enough so that people can have fun and they can learn

How true. But unless you comment on the responses it loses its lustre. There are some discussions that could go a long way if the poster comes back and makes it interesting in their comments. It sometimes hits a sore or soft spot that will encourage the commenter to keep going and those coming after can also comment on the comments. Thanks for dropping by.

I check also because it is a sign of caring and friendship. How or if a person responds can tell a lot about their true selves.

Good thinking. Sometimes it also gives us new information or presents our own thinking in a different light. Do you ever ask for something more to keep the discussion moving? Thanks for dropping by and for your input.

I haven't found it hard perhaps time consuming but not difficult. It depends on each discussion and how much it generates good answers that deserve commenting on. Thanks for dropping by.

I think that the Mylot is facing an adaptation time, therefore before was very easy to answer here, therefore they were cold and natural answers. And Today the things are not so easy, therefore we have that to think a little to answer correctly.

I agree. I have seen a large improvement in myLot in recent days and I have no doubt that they will continue to do their best to make life easier for us. But the site can only be as good as those who use it and if myLoters don't put a little more effort than some have been it won't make much difference. Thanks for dropping by.

Yes I do and you are correct 99% of the time the responders don't respond to your comment which is a shame because that is what makes it interesting.

I quite agree. I actually like to hear people rip my arguments apart if they believe in what they say. It will stir up interest in others to put their 2 cents worth in and we can all have a field day refuting each other....in a nice way of course. Thanks for dropping by.

A very good attitude. I am having a very difficult time right now trying to decide on a Best Response. However, response continue to be made and I am waiting for them to peter out before I make my choice. Good response. I agree wholeheartedly. I haven't posted too many discussions either. Like this one, they take up a lot of my time even tho the number of responses are few. This one is now my record holder. I have been busy for over two hours responding to my discussion and I still have a couple more to answer. Thanks for dropping by.

i never check them out, it wastes a lot of time. First search through all of your discussions and then finding the right one and then finding the right page and if and only if you see that no body has commented on it. I will become very angry, so i think that instead of commenting, we should send the person a message if it is so important

Sorry you feel that way. You requested to be a friend and I was waiting to see what your procedures were concerning commenting on responses. If this is your attitude then I shall have to deny your request. Sending messages is also time consuming.....what's the difference. That way no one else will see what you commented.

Checking up the comments on discussions and responses is a very good practice that makes the topic more clear. But sometimes very short commets may be ignored those carry least relevence. Thanks.

I agree. I choose to answer all the responses in some way or other. I am very frank sometimes but that's the way I am. I do not like anyone to interrupt a very good discussion with good, intelligent responses with something that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic. I do not ignore anything. Thanks for dropping by.

If you are not going to comment on the responses what is the use of posting the discussion in the first place, other than for financial gains. I find this out of character with the purpose of myLot.

I'm lways intersted in what people have to say. Sometimes I ask real questions that mean something to me and other times I dumb questions, but it's still things that I want to know the answer to.
