How can one contribute to shaping society?

Society is made up of values and norms. It is my beleif that one can contribute to shaping society and preserving such values and norms by being a good role model. Also, one can support/ organize youth intervention programs that would aid in a decline in violence and crimes. What are some other ways one con contribute to shaping society?

Try to be good as much you can. Participate in social & cultural programs. Help the people you needs one's help.
help disabled & homeless people. Try to promote or participate in relief /charity aided progams.
