Is marriage an end or a new start?

Hey...its really a tough quetion for me as of now.I have been with my girl friend since one year.We really had a great time in this amount of time and we really enjoyed the company of each other.I felt it a memorable time with her and same was with her too.Our understnading is so smooth that we could easily get what the other person is going to say about.But the story took a twist when we started thinking to lead this relation to get a social committment.Just from that day everything got changed.We started fighting with each other on very small small issues which we never had before.Situation took a drastic change.Even we feel the lack of trust in each other as it used to be the matter of our pride.Why time frame took such a sharp turn.Can you guys please have a look into this and suggest me the possible troubleshoot?
