I have invited all my friends in Indonesia to join mylot. Surprisingly, all of them want to join but they don't have idea what is goint to post here. The main problem is language. In indonesia more than 90%, the population can't write English. They have learnt about grammar and structure at least 6 years during schooling. But that's the fact. What's the solution, buddy?

I can only speak for myself, but if someone comes in and makes a sincere effort to write posts in English, I will try to respond if I can. This is an opportunity for them to learn more. Your friends should read a lot of posts, to get the feel for it, then do their best job. Use a dictionary, ask someone to help them correct. If they do not try then of course they will not succeed.

If they have larned grammar and structure how come that they can't write in English. I live in Japan and many Japanese had leared English at school so the know grammar and reading and writing but they can't speak, this I can understand, but if learn grammer you must know how to write.

Japan and Indonesia is really different. In Japan, they know what they learning. In Indonesia, we don't know what we are learning and studying. Even, we don't know what we are doing!

I am not too good in English too. But I've tried to learn it. Maybe you could tell your friends to try posting and writing in mylot, maybe they can learn english with this and don't give up to study english, english is an intenational language and u should study it. Me here like to study english to improve my english skill with grammar and structure. try it.

Ha ha ha.. I wish I could tell you the solution but I am afraid I can't. LOL I also invited some of Indonesian friends of mine. In a hope that we could build up a community, again here. Who knows myLot can be invaded by all those Indonesian people out there. For I know that there are lots of Indonesian bloggers or Indonesian people out there on the virtual world. Indonesia rocks!

Hi! I'm new here, only two days member. So I just saw your discussion which you've posted 8 months ago. I am Thai, from Thailand. We also have the same problem about using English. I can use English because I used to be an exchange student in Ohio in 1982. And I still learning, keeping up self up on all the time. I like reading and writing because you have time to think and look up words in dictionary. I've a little son and I'm trying to help him learn to speak English early in his age.
