The First Commandment 15And the Lord God took the man, whom He molded, and He placed him in the paradise to work and to guard it. 16And the Lord God commanded Adam saying: “From every tree in the paradise thou may eat food, 17but from the tree to know good and evil, eat not from it; and whichever day you eat from it, you shall die with death.” (Genesis 2:15-17) Description of the Tree 6And the woman saw that the tree is good into food and that it is pleasing to the eyes to see and it is beautiful to perceive, and having taken of the fruit of it she ate; and she gave also to the man of her with her, and they ate. (Genesis 2:6) The Consequence of Violation 9And the Lord God called Adam and said to him: “Adam, where art thou?” 10And he said to Him: “I heard the voice of Thee walking in the paradise and I feared, because I am naked, and I hid.” 11And He said to him: “Who announced to thee that thou art naked? Is it not that from the tree, which I commanded to thee this only not to eat from it, thou ate?” 12And Adam said: “The woman, whom thou gave to me with me, she herself gave to me from the tree, and I ate.” (Genesis 3:6-12) Nothing at all is said that the fruit is apple which people refer to as the forbidden fruit.

There's really no mention that it was an apple. The red apple looks delicious and pleasing to the eyes that perhaps made men refer to the fruit as an apple. There was not even a name to the tree, unlike the Tree of Life which was named Tree of Life.

Yes, it is just said to be the tree to know good and evil and so it might be called the tree of knowledge as the tree that gives life is called the tree of life.

true, there's nothing said specifically, and some religions even say that the 'fruit' represents 'fornication'. so pls tell me, what do you think is the first sin of men?

The Bible did not specifically mentioned what fruit is forbidden to eat so it could not be the apple.

You are right that the fruit mentioned in the Genesis was not apple. To me, it were the good teachings of GodAllahYHWH which by mistake they forget to remember. I am an Ahmadi , a peaceful faith in Islam

Very good! This clarifies many stories about the apple being the forbidden fruit. Many people believe that it is the apple which is the forbidden fruit. Since it is not said so in the Holy Bible, the apple is not the forbidden fruit. It's nice to have the verses themselves.
