I have a short name and all my kids i give long names. I write my name much faster then when i write my kids' name. So i regret why i should give them long names. Actually which one is better, having a short name or long name?

Long names are cooler because people remember strange names. And you'll be remembered wherever you go.

I have a long last name. when I was younger and in school it took me along time to learn how to write it. So I would say it is better to have a short name.

i give my kids name after a successful person, like his first name is Kautsar (i took from alquran), middle name is Kasparov (i took from the World chess champion) and the last name is Utsadetti (my fam name). This three name is very long compared with my neigbor name like, Cikrak, Sapu, Untung, Juned, etc. They have only one word. So they triple faster writing down their names than my kid is.

how long ? 4,5,6 words and 6,7,8...10 letter per words ?
the main point for me is unique and meaningful not just name the kid
that's what i did to me son....2 words with total of 15 letters including spaces
