do you think video games are a good thing for kids or a bad thing for kids
i have seen graphs that show that violence has gone down becase of video games but i also have heard that video games cause kids to go on shooting rampages. if you were a parent would you let you kids play video games.
as a kid video games have taught me much about history and misc other subjects.
what are your thoughts on video games and what were your childhood memories of video games

Video games themselves are nothing. In the hands of a normal, well adjusted teen, they're a great source of entertainment. In the hands of an abormal, maladjusted teen, they provide an outlet that isn't always good. The kids who go on shotting rampages were screwed up to begin with. They were drawn to violent games because of that imbalance. They were already predisposed to violence for whatever reason. The video games just appealed to that violent nature, the games didn't cause it. The people who go on about how violent video games inspire violence have their cause and effect reversed.
