I've been smoking now for about five years. It started when I was somewhat nervous way back when I was sophomore in college. Back then I thought that I can always quit if I want to so I tried to smoke and afterwards it became an adiction. I have tried some methods to stop this addiction but somehow failed in every extent. From health magazines, I have read that smoking is one of the major causes of health problems so I want to quit but there are times that I cannot sleep if I can't have just single puff of smoke. I know that the only thing to stop this is to be determined to quit and to discipline myself but I always end smoking again after a few days of trying to avoid it. Is there any one here willing to give advise or have had similar experience?

Mark Twain - famous US writer of international repute once said:
Who said smoking is difficult to quit. I have done it 100 times.
On another occasion he said, I have some principles in smoking. I smoke only one at a time.
Though both the statements of Mark Twain go on confirm that smoking is difficult to give up, in reality it is not difficult. Look at the places where you see placards saying THANKS FOR NOT SMOKING. You do not smoke in those places. Similarly at home your wife insists that you should give up smoking, and if you realize its eventual hazards, definitely you can make up mind and give up. In the long run you can save fantastic money too. I used to smoke 10 a day couple of years ago. Now I gave up and I feel I am more comfortable health and money wise.
