I just had an Ebay member contact me to let me know that the item I sold him has been recieved. But it is completely damaged. I have no choice to refund him because I cannot find the reciept from the initial shipment. I am pissed and I know the post office has something to do with it. Do these people do not care in the Christmas season with all of the activity in shipping gifts. What gives?

I sell a ton of stuff on ebay and use the post office all the time. I pay for the postage through paypal, so you can never lose your receipt because there is always a record of your shipment online through your paypal account. It is also good because when you do pay through paypal, you get free delivery confirmation. UPS guys handle the packages roughly, I also used to work for UPS, and they just throw them around, and leave the packages in the middle of the front yard in the rain or snow, or out there for anyone to steal. But the good thing is that they automatically cover the first $100 for free. I guess it also depends on your packaging, you always have to make sure you pack your items really well.

I don't know about the post office but my mom sent me a big package for my son via UPS. Anyway, the UPS guy THREW it in our yard... Not only that, he left it sitting in the SNOW in the middle of our yard... Luckily I am a stay at home mom/wife, so I got my package shortly after he threw it in our yard! GRRRR!
