What do you think about people who lie? I don't know why I hate it a lot, that I can't accept it, and most of the time I loss my friends because of this....am I exaggerating it?

I hate being lied to. I prefer the whole truth even if it does not ring well to my ear. I prefer to say the truth even if it means losing friends.

Some people lie more than others. Everyone, one time of their life, makes a lie. What is bad, is dishonesty all the time. Being underhanded and sneaky. If you are honest, there won't be a reason to lie. I don't like it either.

Everybody lies, I bet you even lie. You lie for different reasons. You lie not to hurt people's feelings, or to keep from arguing, or to keep from getting in trouble.

yes...I am with you that everybody lies, but it differs...lying so we won't hurt people's fellings is ok, and some others.....But what I am talking about and hate is lying for nothing, I mean poeple who loves to lie for no real reasons....like someone who comes up with a whole story that never happened and 3/4 of their talking is a lie. See I don't have trouble if it is once...but I hate it when a person's 3/4 of what he/she says is a lie! They just can't live without it.

telling lie kills the concept of confidence and beleiveness . it leads to loss of love and affection, security and also losing of many things like friends/close ones and even sometimes your valuable things like job/property etc., Lie is a word opposite of truth which is to be avoided at all times. As far as possible try speak truth and if it is necessary to tell lie ., that is if time permits or situation arises better do not tell lie rather KEEP SILENT. because there is no inner meaning for keeping silent

Lying is one thing that I can't and won't tolerate. Any relationship has to be built on a solid foundation of trust, honesty, and confidence. If someone lies to me, the foundation crumbles. I feel that anything can be dealt with if you know what it is that you are facing. A lie just jumbles everything up.

I don't like lying either. In fact, I believe that it damages a relationship so much that the relationship it is probably over. That sounds extreme I know but once you start lying to your friends and family, how do you keep it up without coming up with more and more lies to keep the first ones going? I can't keep up with all the lies and so I try not to do it unless I know that the person is not a friend or family and is someone that doesn't matter to me at all. And they have to have lied to me FIRST. Because once I know that someone has lied to me, I feel that they no longer deserve the truth from me. I don't mean that in the spiteful way, like revenge or something because THAT just takes too much energy. I just think that once you've been lied to, what's the point of that relationship? I don't mean the polite lie, the one about how No your behind does not look fat in those pants or that's a nice haircut or that type of white lie. I still think that's a lie but it's the polite, don't want to hurt your feelings lie. The sort-of- doesn't-matter-because-its-not-that-important lie. Letting all the whole truth out because you can't sugar-coat the truth is just mean. I have had friends who did that. They used the truth as a weapon that they just threw at you and then said that they had to be true to themselves and tell the truth. When in reality, they were just being mean jerks. We don't need to hurt people with the truth. We just need to learn to say the truth in a nice way.

I can't stand people who lie. You never know when or if their telling the truth. Those lies hurt people, but they don't relize it or just don't care.

Lying is always a bad behaviour for me. But as you said - lying in a good metter is sometimes possible to do but lying for nothing or to hide serious things is one of the most horrible things in the world!

well according to me lying is sometimes good if it helps u in saving a friends A$$ or getting them out of trouble. if it endangers ur friendship or relationship or leads u into a much greater trouble then its better that u stick to the truth. i hope u understand what i mean!!!

To lie is a bad character. I do not like it either. One cannot be trusted if they lie. Better to loose your friends, if they are not honest.

Businessman are the people who start it. The person who does it will have guilty feeling. It is difficult to get a person who does not lie.

I personally am not a big fan of lies or lying in general! I find it is wrong to do & that people should be more honest with the people whom they love! For me once you have told a lie.. It is almost like you have to keep covering up that lie until it gets to the point where.. You end up being caught in almost a web of lies! It begins to get so out of hand for a lot of people I have found.. I think someone who needs to lie a large majority of the time has a serious problem. To me the type of lying I dislike the most is the type where people find it necessary to lie to get themselves out of trouble or get themselves out of a situation.. That is when for me I cannot keep people like that as a part of my life.. I would much rather someone hurt me with the truth, then have to lie to make me feel better about things.. Because sooner or later the lie will end up catching up to this person.. And you will end up finding out whether or not they we're lying about things when they begin to get there lies all mixed up. You end up losing people due to lies I find. And quite honestly once people have found out that you have lied to them.. Sometimes the relationship will change for good. You will end up losing them. And sometimes once you have lost someone you can never get them back again. And if they had meant the world to you.. You have that regret to live with for the rest of your life.. And I think we've all had things in our life that we have regretted at one point or another.. And that is very difficult for one to live with. So in my opinion unless your lying to protect someone who is in danger.. Or just protect someone you love in general.. It's best just to be honest.. Honesty is the best policy! I've found that secrets always have a way of coming out.. To me if you are willing to be honest from the start.. That the problems that might arise will be a lot less compared to when a secret find it's way out.. In conclusion from my experience with lying.. It's just so much easier to be honest. Having to remember your lies all of the time would make anyone go crazy you would think.. I believe that.. Being honest is truly the best medicine at the end of the day! You will have much better relationships with the people whom you love.. And you will also be known as an honest person. I think that's a lot better then being known as a dishonest person. But I do believe we all do lie in life.. I just think if you take it to far & are hurting the people whom you love with your lies.. That it's time to seek help or maybe find a way to change yourself within.. To make yourself a better person in the end. Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

Lies not only create breaches of trust, they cause an inner decay as well.
