What do you use for smoother skin? Do you use homemade products or do you use store bought items? It's winter and we could use some tips.

I'm taking food supplements for a week now and I noticed a change in my skin, It becomes smoother and more vibrant. I'm taking grape seed extract, I seldom use lotion because it irritates me and I think it attracts the dust in the environment.

You do have a point about the lotions attracting dust. If I use an oil base lotion, it clings to the skin longer than a water base, and I have noticed my body does feels dirtier. Thanks for the reply.

Sunshine Cup, my mom is taking collagen pills. Since she is entering a new phase in her life where she also has to take estrogen, she got recommended by her friends to take collagen pills. Apparently collagen helps the body to get better hydrated. I hope that this response was useful to you!

I use the store bought skin care product like cold cream and moiturizing lotin. But it's good if you can use some good homemade product. They are always more effective.

you really want to know? And let me tell you, my hands get really dry from washing them countless times during the day! CRISCO! Yup! I had tried the Vaseline and cotton glove thing and it only helped a bit. So then I heard about Crisco...and have never turned back! http://www.mothernature.com/Library/bookshelf/Books/47/49.cfm

well first of all i think that to be healthy outside you must first be healthy inside. see i am a nursing student and in one of our assessments to determine the health of the client we note the skin of the patient. so the skin basically tells you how you are smooth in the insides of your body. well i recommend eating healthy foods and vegetables. taking vitamin e. drinking lots of water. avoid smoking as it wrinkles the skin and have plenty of rest or dot just tire yourself too much. use a body scrub or just a loofa and protect your skin with a lotion that will not give you allergies!.. so good luck!.

I would say to drink a lot of water, and use a moisturizer without fragrences or dyes. I use store bought.

Moisturize,moisturize,moisturize..nothing better than that!I use a good moisturizer day and night. I cleanse, tone and then moisturize, helps keep the skin blemish free and smooth. I sometimes use almond milk on the skin, it is not only refreshing but makes the skin very very smooth, like baby skin:)

Check on http://www.skincareteacher.com for many helpful tips and hints for skin care. There's a link to the blog on their site that has an article called Dry Winter Skin - How to Deal with It. Hopefully that will help you.

well i guess skin care must be taken from internal side compared to external . so in winter try to take some oily porducts in order to keep our skin moisturous and also take lots of water

Shania Twain uses Bag Balm on her face. I don't know if I would go that far, but it is great for dry skin on your legs and feet.

I do a lot of different things. I drink more water and get plenty of rest. I use oil of olay on my face and the best lotion you can find for the rest of my body. It also helps when you get out of the shower and before you dry off to apply baby oil to your wet skin. Your skin will absorb the baby oil much better while wet, and it will feel silky smooth.
