Are you in the middle of a good book?

I am reading Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk. Crazy stuff. Do you have a favorite author you would recommend that is similar to his work? On another note, who wrote slaughter house five?

I am a huge fan of Chuck Palahniuk. So far I've read everything that he has put out, except his works of nonfiction. Chuck has two books coming out this year. Rant is slated for release on May 7 and Zarour Files is supposed to be on shelves on October 12. As for another author that is similar... Have you read any Irving Welsh? His book Trainspotting was made into a fairly popular movie. He wrote a sequel to that. He has a few other more twisted titles, like Filth and The Marabou Stork Nightmares. Be prepared for the langauge though... If you have read Chuck Palahniuk, cursing in Irving Welsh books won't be the problem. I'm more refering to the scottish accents used in the books. Trainspotting and it's sequel actually came with a bit of a glossary to help with the slang if I remember correctly.

Thank you much. I don't have tone of time to read now that I don't ride the bus, but I do when I can. I've heard of trainspotting, but hate needles, so I never watched the movie. I do want to read it. Thanks for the suggestions, and the upcoming publishings. Is there a chuck website?

His official site can be found here... http://www.chuckpalaniuk.com It has more stuff about him, including a list of books he suggests reading. His fanclub site can be found at... http://www.chuckpalaniuk.net The fanclub site seems to have more info on stuff that has sold movie rights and other such updates. There is also info about the new books and some other things there. Either site is perfectly fine for finding out about the upcoming stuff though.
