How much do you tip your hair stylist?

A friend of mine asked me this question...my best friend has her license and she does my hair for free and I help her with babysitting...so we swap. How much do you generally tip your stylist?

It depends on how well my hair looks afterwards... if I walk out and it looks like I put my hair in a garbage disposal then.. no... but if it looks good... got the cut I wanted and the color looks good then I tip.
