Sholay was a movie ahead of its time!!!!!!!!!!!!

When sippy made this movie named sholay he also might not have been aware of the fact that this movie will become a pathbreaker in the indian cinema and will be known as a legendary movie.
There are many peculiar things which were noticed after the movie was finished and was ready for release. It did not had any scenes showing blood or bloodshed.. surprised? go and review the movie if you don't agree with me. even when the whole family of thakur was killed there was no blood shown
It is only in the song in which basanti dances on glass pieces when some blood was shown
The movie was truly ahead of its time
don't you agree with me now??

i don't think Sholay was ahead of it's time. Consider the scenes in which Amitabh and Dharmendra fight against about 50 thugs on the train. Had this scene been filmed in today's scenario, people would have outrightly rejected it. such scenes were acceptable only during those days. another example is the 'Superman' type stunts that Sanjeev Kumar does when he meets Gabbar for the second tine.
On the other hand, Sholay was a clear picture of India during those times, when Chambal dacoits had created nuisance among the Indian people.
I think that had this movie been released today, it would have been a complete flop not because many movies on this subject have been made, but due to lack of it's technical expertise.

Yes I agree with you on all the points that you have mentioned. It is really a more prefixed set standards for all the directors. It was a movie which introduced a lot of things to the Bollywood cinema. And I think such movies are never created with the thought that it will be the greatest movie of all time. They just happen. And this is the greatness of such movies they are simple yet when you look at them you will see a lot of intense and complex things around the movie which teaches you a lot. This movie is one of a kind readily portrays that particular time of how people behave and how decoits exploited

yes.....you are right...
Sholay -the film of the millanium.But i wonder what factor of the film strike on the people..The story,stars or the different mode of the film style..I also wonder why this formulae never won again..Why other films in the same category fails to get much response..The sholay runs 5 consecutive year in a theater.All this are amazing and unbelievable news for me...
Sholay is the best when consider the popularity...
